Last week I was off work to help my brother and his fiancĂ© move from Thunder Bay to Sudbury, hey are both going back to school this fall. We headed to Thunder Bay Saturday evening but didn’t get the 27′ U-Haul until Sunday morning. Packing the truck went pretty well, we actaully managed to just barely fit everything in, funny thing is Ryan was thinking of getting a smaller truck.
Monday morning we left Thunder Bay, heading towards Kapaskasing where we would spend our first night. Of course we took our time and hit plenty of Geocaches on the way. We managed to get twenty-one that day.
Tuesday we were headed through Timmins, and about 10 minutes outside of the city we stopped to hit a quick cache, everyone was out of the vehicles for a few minutes when a tire on the U-Haul blew out. Back right, inner tire had a hole a few inches long on the side wall. Thankfully we wern’t driving and we wern’t far outside of a city. It took two hours from out initial call to U-haul road side assistance until we were back on the road. We got into Sudbury late that night with about twenty-five caches for the day.
The shed that was to be used for a fair amount of my brothers stuff was in pretty bad shape so we decided to buy wood and build a new one. It only took 3 days to get it done minus the shingles. All in all it was a pretty long and tiresome trip but I wish both of them the best of luck back at school.
